Mango Is My Go-to Spot for Affordable Holiday Party Dressing This Season

Finding a holiday party look that neatly toes the line between festive and, well, season-appropriate often feels equivalent to finding a unicorn. And, I suppose, in a way, the best ensembles for those wintry special occasions are mythical creations on their own: fantastical, rare but oh, so eye-catching when you find them, and laden with an air of sparkle and mystery that only seem to be tangible in our dreams (or, perhaps, on our social feeds). And not too unlike finding the perfect gifts for the special women in your life, no?

All that said, these elusive pieces do exist, and I found the ones I’ll be wearing this season at none other than Mango—the fashion-girl favorite for undeniably chic, photo-ready fashions that won’t deplete your holiday shopping budget.

While a luxury piece like a designer bag or a couture gown will always garner a turn of the head from those around you, there’s something equally delightful about answering any questions about your ensemble with a cheeky “Thank you, it’s Mango!” But, can anyone really be surprised? Mango has a way of tapping into the zeitgeist of of-the-moment trends. Not to mention, it’s also teamed up with luxury fashion brands like Simon Miller, Siedrés, and Victoria Beckham. So, yeah—the Spanish label knows what it’s doing. And that’s especially apparent with its elevated Selection line’s holiday collection.

With the exception of some of its genuine leather outerwear, Mango’s party dressing pieces in its Selection line are all on the more affordable side, with most priced at $199.99 or less. And, as someone who’s test-driven a handful of pieces from the brand—from oversized leather jackets and kitten heels to office-appropriate wardrobe staples like blouses and skirts—I can tell you with complete confidence that these pieces are well worth the purchase, just on quality alone. Combine that with the fact that Mango is always creating pieces that look way more expensive than they cost, and, well, I personally don’t need any more convincing. Oh, I suppose I could also mention that these pieces always get complimented when I wear them.
