A Fashion-Filled Lake Como Wedding

Stylist Kayla Innes married Dan Roffman in a custom Wiederhoeft gown.

When Kayla Innes started planning her wedding to Dan Roffman, her first, second, and third thoughts were fashion. “Definitely the outfit,” she recalls. For the uninitiated, Kayla is a celebrity stylist and owns the vintage archive Chérir Vintage, while Dan is a partner at the natural industrial diamond supplier Lieber & Solow and the founder of Rare Diamond Club, a private jewelry business. Kayla, who grew up in New York City, has made trips to Lake Como since she was a child and knew that’s where she wanted to be married. The couple, who were thrilled to find a planner who knew the area and local customs, kicked off the weekend with a pizza party held in Bellagio, a boat ride away. “It ended up storming pretty badly, so it was kind of chaotic at the end, but [still] fun,” she says. Read on for more on her custom Wiederhoeft gown, the celeb-favorite wedding venue, and gorgeous views of Lake Como.

Getting Ready

The Dress

Jackson Wiederhoeft is one of the bride’s favorite designers. When she met with him, they spoke about doing a custom dress. “I looked at all the big wedding designers, and I wasn’t really finding anything off the rack that spoke to me,” she says. “Jackson was able to help me bring my vision to life. I’m super happy that I did custom, because with social media and everything, you’re constantly seeing the same dresses.”

She later changed into a Vivienne Westwood dress, followed by two vintage after-party looks. “I have a vintage brand, so I definitely wanted to incorporate some vintage,” she says.

The Big Day

The wedding went until 3 A.M. The ceremony and cocktail hour were held in different areas of the grounds, while dinner and dancing took place in a glass tent. The after-party was located inside the villa. During the cocktail hour, there was a traditional Italian antipasto station, and an Italian folk trio played traditional music. “It was a pretty small wedding, and everyone there was super special to me and my husband, either close friends or family. I think being with everyone that had traveled to spend a special weekend with us was the best part,” Kayla says.
