Chipotle Is Giving Away $1 Million in BOGO Burritos

The Mexican chain restaurant is bringing back its online Burrito Vault game, in which players have to guess an exact burrito order to unlock prizes

Chipotle is celebrating National Burrito Day on April 3 inviting customers to join its nationwide online game!

On Monday, March 31, the Mexican food brand announced that it would be bringing back the Burrito Vault — in which players have to guess the exact burrito combination, including all of its ingredients, to successfully decipher a code.

The game is set to run from Monday, March 31 at 9 a.m. ET through Wednesday, April 2 at 11:59 p.m. ET. The total prize winnings are worth around $1 million, Chipotle adds, and players can join the fun by visiting UnlockBurritoDay.com.

Where to Get Free Food on National Burrito Day

According to Chipotle, the chain will be giving away 157,500 total buy-one-get-one free entrée codes — or 2,500 BOGO codes per hour, as the code to enter the Burrito Vault changes each hour — to the first players who guess the Burrito Vault order correctly.

Some fans will even get the chance to win free burritos for a year when they play, as the first player to unlock the Burrito Vault each hour will win free burritos for a year.

Fans who unlock the vault after all of the hourly BOGO codes aren’t out of luck, either — players who guess the burrito correctly after the prizes for the hour run out will receive 25 rewards points in their Chipotle Rewards account one time during the campaign, while available.

“Inspired by the popularity of word puzzles, Burrito Vault was played more than two million times in 2024, and prizes were claimed in under 20 minutes,” the chain wrote in a press release. “This year, Chipotle is once again challenging fans to guess the exact order combinations, ingredient by ingredient, to unlock the bank.”

Outside of the game, Chipotle is celebrating National Burrito Day by giving its Rewards members a $0 delivery fee offer when ordering via Chipotle.com, Chipotle.ca and the Chipotle app and using the code DELIVER on April 3.

Chipotle has been long known for its BOGO and annual free burrito deals. Each Halloween, the restaurant rolls out its “Boorito” deal, during which fans can snag a $6 entrée in the U.S. and select overseas locations.

Additionally, the company celebrated their hockey-loving fans during last year’s Stanley Cup playoffs by offering a BOGO deal to any customer wearing their hockey jersey.

Tons of other Mexican chains around the U.S. have annual offerings in celebration of National Burrito Day, too — including Moe’s Southwest Grill, where guests previously have been able to get a buy-one-get-one-free burrito bowl or burrito, BOGO burritos at Baja Fresh, free burritos at Qdoba, and tons of deals at Taco Bell.
