Elizabeth Hurley, 59, Wears the Tiniest Chain-Link Bikini During Maldives Beach Getaway

The actress wore a two piece from her namesake swimwear line as she hit the beach

Elizabeth Hurley loves a good bikini moment.

On Wednesday, April 9, the actress, 59, shared a stunning look at her latest getaway — a trip to the white sandy beaches of the Maldives — on Instagram.

In the video, the former Gossip Girl star soaked up the clear blue waters and the gorgeous sunset of the island while wearing a taupe, two-piece bikini. The swimsuit featured gold chain-link details connecting the triangle top and in place of where strings would go for the bikini’s bottom.

“The most glorious sunset in the glorious Maldives,” Hurley captioned the video, adding a pink heart emoji and tagging the Baglioni Resort Maldives in addition to her line of swimwear, Elizabeth Hurley Beach.

In 2022, the actress defended her love of wearing bikinis and revealed that she is comfortable enough in her body to do so.

“Yes, I still wear bikinis on holidays and because I’ve got a bikini company, I’m happy to share those pictures,” she told Yahoo! Life at the time. “But I expect if I didn’t have a bikini company, I probably wouldn’t share these pictures. As it happens, but I’m very comfortable doing that.”

“There’s plenty of women my age who really love going on vacation, prancing around the beach, wearing whatever they want to wear and not being afraid of other people making sneering comments,” she continued. “So I think it’s just about really saying, work out what you’re comfortable with, work out what you believe in. And whilst always being open to new opportunities and to change, stick to your guns when you know something you feel strong about.”

In 2021, Hurley told Yahoo! Life that she was not planning to hide her body just because she’s aging.

“I think women definitely like that I’m not hiding just because I’m over 50,” she said. “And I just think it’s pretty tough if women think they have to cover up because we’re not in our 20s anymore and perfect.”

Her bikini pictures also shouldn’t be read too deeply — she’s simply having fun. “It’s a little tongue in cheek most of the time because when you’re selling something, which is your own business, everyone knows what I’m doing,” Hurley added. “I’m not saying, ‘Don’t I look fabulous, everyone? This is how I am!’ I’m selling a bikini.”
