Exclusive: Gracie Abrams Took Us Inside Her Intimate ‘The Secret of Us’ Soirée With Spotify

If you’re anything like the girlies here at Cosmo, then you’ve had Gracie Abrams’s sophomore album, The Secret of Us, on heavy rotation since it dropped over the summer. Now that the deluxe edition has officially made its way to our speakers, Gracie commemorated the occasion with Spotify and threw a sweet soirée with her top fans in L.A. on November 12.

In true slumber party style, the singer-songwriter didn’t hold back as she answered fan-submitted questions with longtime bestie and collaborator Audrey Hobert. The duo reflected on their creative process, Gracie’s recent Grammy nomination with Taylor Swift (!!!), and their fave TV shows (spoiler alert: Gracie’s rewatching Succession just like the rest of us). Oh, and they took the stage to perform stripped-down renditions of tracks including “Risk,” “I Love You, I’m Sorry,” and “That’s So True.”

“It felt so special to be able to spend time with some of the beautiful people who are generous enough to care about the album and the opportunity to be there with Audrey made the whole thing 10 times sweeter,” Gracie exclusively tells Cosmopolitan of the intimate experience. “The reaction to the songs on the deluxe album has been so insane and truly beyond my wildest dreams….I’m just so grateful for all the fans that have been listening, who have adopted these songs into their lives and who have somehow made ‘That’s So True’ No. 1 on Spotify. I can’t begin to wrap my head around it.”

Of course, we got an inside look at the function with pics selected by the two-time Grammy nominee herself. To which we say: We Love You, You’re Welcome. 💛
