Miss CosmoWorld Malaysia 2025: New-generational crown of a global beauty

Beauty today is no longer something to be admired from afar—it is an inner force, powerful enough to shape minds and inspire a new generation. Miss CosmoWorld Malaysia 2025 officially steps onto the stage as a declaration of contemporary beauty, where the crown represents not just physical allure, but also courage, intellect, and the ability to reach the global stage. With a world-class setting, a message of humanity, and a professional ecosystem, this year’s competition ushers in a new era for Asia’s modern beauty industry—one that is connected, empowered, and full of promise.

Sublime beauty in a space inspired by the ocean

On the evening of May 27, 2025, the Majestic Marine Ballroom at Confetti KL became the epicenter of the fashion and media world as it hosted the official launch of Miss CosmoWorld Malaysia 2025. Themed “An Immersive Underwater Experience”, the event offered more than just stunning stage aesthetics—it symbolized the inner depth and elusive beauty that embody the soul of a true queen.

With over 300 esteemed guests, including entrepreneurs, founders, artists, former beauty queens, and media representatives, the evening unfolded as a grand symphony of noble values brought to life through oceanic hues, shimmering silver lights, and profound emotional layers.

The event was graced by notable figures such as Dato’ Sri (Dr) Chong Chin Fung – Honorary Advisor; Mr. Huang Jianbo – Chief Representative of the Guangdong Economic & Trade Office in KL; and YBhg Tan Sri M. Kayveas. It was proudly supported by prestigious sponsors including Datin Sri Jekkie (Main Diamond), Melife, Song Ju Tea, Medicyto Clinic, WM-Partner, and Confetti KL.

Opening up new standards for a beauty pageant

The highlight of the evening was the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Miss CosmoWorld and its strategic partners—an official declaration of the pageant’s evolution from a beauty competition into a fully professionalized platform. Melife was recognized as the Diamond Sponsor, a renowned brand in holistic health and beauty, pledging extensive collaboration in both expertise and media outreach.

At the same time, WM-Partner was announced as the official Talent Management Partner, responsible for scouting, training, and managing the public image of promising contestants. Notably, Miss Goddess of Nature Malaysia joined as a strategic partner, granting its titleholders direct entry into the national finals of Miss CosmoWorld Malaysia 2025, which will be held on October 27 at JW Marriott Kuala Lumpur.

This is no longer just an independent pageant—it has become a vital link in the value chain of training, inspiration, and growth within Asia’s beauty industry.

Joyce Chao: Initiator of an intellect-focus beauty standard

Serving as the President of the competition for the second year, Joyce Chao is more than just a leader—she is the living embodiment of the core values Miss CosmoWorld upholds: personal strength, spiritual beauty, and transformative leadership. Without fanfare or theatrics, her journey stands as proof that true power lies not in what others see, but in how one sees oneself.

“Before entering the pageant world, I was just an ordinary psychologist. I didn’t know how to walk in heels, I had no idea how to catwalk. But this journey changed me completely. You don’t have to be perfect to start—you just need to start in order to become stronger.” Her words are more than a reflection; they are a heartfelt invitation to anyone standing at the crossroads of expectation and identity.

Joyce’s message transcends the personal. It opens a door for thousands of women to embark on a journey of self-redefinition—not to become someone else, but to embrace the proud and complete version of themselves. Miss CosmoWorld Malaysia 2025 is not simply in search of a winner; it seeks a woman who can use this stage as a platform to reach the world, amplify her voice, lead her community, and redefine “feminism” through meaningful, impactful, and authentic action.

21 years of constructing a beauty empire: Celebrating legacy, aiming towards the future

More than just the launch of a new season, this year’s event marked a defining milestone in the 21-year journey of growth and transformation for Miss CosmoWorld. A special “Walk of Fame” was held to celebrate this legacy, bringing together a dazzling lineup of beauty queens who have made their mark on both regional and international stages—from iconic names like Evana Ho, Stephanie Lee, and Melissa Wong to recent inspirations such as Zhou Yan Jun and Angela Looi.

Carrie Lee, the founder and Director of the competition, delivered a heartfelt speech with the presence of a mother—firm yet compassionate—addressing the next generation: “Modern women no longer have to choose between gentleness and strength, between career and family, between dreams and reality. They can have it all—if they are steadfast and courageous enough. I’ve always believed that if you work hard enough and keep believing in yourself, you can build an empire of your own.”

At the same event, Carrie officially announced plans to expand Miss CosmoWorld internationally, inviting potential host countries to bring the pageant to their markets. Additionally, five massive billboards will be unveiled along Kuala Lumpur’s major thoroughfares in June, in collaboration with Spectrum Outdoor, launching a nationwide media campaign of impressive scale.
