The country star was arrested for throwing a chair from the roof of a Nashville bar and was sentenced to seven days of incarceration at a DUI education center
If you think you’ve seen Morgan Wallen at a bar recently, no you haven’t.
During the Wednesday, April 2 episode of Theo Von’s This Past Weekend podcast, the country star revealed that he hasn’t stepped foot in a bar since his April 2024 arrest for throwing a chair from the roof of a Nashville bar.
The topic came up when the comedian, 45, began discussing how fame has impacted Wallen, 31.
“It’s still weird, and there’s parts of that, that I don’t like,” said the “Cowgirls” musician. “I think anybody who has to deal with that… it’s not ideal.”
Added Wallen: “It’s not ideal to go everywhere, and even if you don’t get bothered, you were on edge the whole time because you thought you might. There’s things that you just don’t do. There’s just things you don’t do anymore.”

He then explained that’s why he now prefers to go hunting.
“I can go be with my buddies. I can be in the middle of nowhere. I can be at ease. I can not stress out. You just find ways to supplement it, I think, you know?” said Wallen.
Von then noted that with all of the attention on going to bars can be a “hassle.”
“It’s definitely the best thing for me. I mean, if you’re using a bar as a specific example, that’s definitely, that’s definitely, the best thing for me. I ain’t been in a bar since the last time I was in a bar that everybody knows about,” said the “Last Night” performer while laughing.
He added: “The most public time I was in a bar? That’s the last time I was in a bar.”

Morgan Wallen Says His 4-Year-Old Son Indigo Has a ‘Little Attitude’: ‘I Like That Spunk’
In December 2024, Wallen was sentenced to one week of incarceration, to be served at a DUI education center, as well as two years’ probation — one year for each of his misdemeanor charges for reckless endangerment — after his chair-throwing arrest in Nashville. He was also ordered to pay a $350 fine and court fees.
“Mr. Wallen has cooperated fully with authorities throughout these last eight months, directly communicating and apologizing to all involved. Mr. Wallen remains committed to making a positive impact through his music and foundation,” his attorney Worrick Robinson IV told PEOPLE in a statement at the time.
The “You Proof” artist pleaded conditionally guilty due to judicial diversion, and should he successfully complete the terms of his probation, his charges will be eligible for dismissal and expungement.
