“I’m a natural in the kitchen,” proclaims the former PEOPLE’s Sexiest Man Alive in a sweet video Talula shared on TikTok
Talula Dempsey had a special guest in her latest baking video — her dad, Patrick Dempsey.
The Grey’s Anatomy alum’s 23-year-old daughter shared footage of the pair making chocolate chip cookies together, using a mix from her own brand, Talula’s Kitchen.
“You haven’t made cookies in years,” Talula tells her father in the cute clip, which she posted on her TikTok account on Wednesday, April 9, to which Patrick responds, “Not since you were little.”
He then proceeds to operate the mixer, noting of the kitchen appliance, “I was a little aggressive there with the throttle.”

Talula calls the process “a great bonding activity,” as her dad puts his arm around her shoulder and gives her a kiss on the cheek.
“I’m a natural in the kitchen,” proclaims the former PEOPLE’s Sexiest Man Alive.
“You are a chef,” his daughter agrees.
After the cookies come out of the oven and cool, Patrick helps Talula sprinkle sea salt on the baked goods.
“You know, I have to be honest: I never liked chocolate chip cookies until you started making them,” he admits.
The father-daughter duo then sample the treats and voice their approval of the finished product.

Commenters on TikTok couldn’t get enough of the pair’s relationship, with many referring to Patrick’s longtime Grey’s Anatomy character, Dr. Derek “McDreamy” Shepherd.
“Imagine ur dad being ‘dr. mccdreamy,’” read one reply.
“You must be so lucky to have Patrick Dempsey as your father,” someone else wrote.
Patrick and his wife Jillian Dempsey share three children, Talula and twin sons Darby and Sullivan, 18.

In February, he shared a sweet throwback photo on Instagram in honor of Talula’s 23rd birthday.
“Happy birthday Talula !!! 23 ! So proud of you you’re an amazing human being, kind compassionate and funny and absolutely beautiful inside and out. 🎈🎊,” wrote the proud father.
When the actor was crowned PEOPLE’s Sexiest Man Alive in 2023, he shared that his kids “want to have their own identity, separate from me and that shadow.”
“They all have unique qualities and they have their own goals that they need to develop and harvest themselves and we just try to model our behavior and hopefully they’ll pick up on that,” he said.
He also observed that it’s “very challenging having your children grow up in Hollywood and to be in that environment.”
“I just read something about how important it is when you have children, the environment that they’re in will be the most important thing for them and their development,” he added. “So trying to keep that a good calm loving safe environment for them.”
