Pippa and James Middleton Debut Festive Looks for Sister Kate’s Christmas Carol Service

The Middleton siblings came together for sister Princess Kate’s annual Christmas Carol Service today. Pippa and James Middleton arrived at London’s Westminster Abbey shortly after the Wales family, to attend Kate’s much awaited “Together At Christmas” service, which she hosts every year.

For the occasion, Pippa was the epitome of chic in a black tweed coatdress lined with black buttons down the middle. The inky-black dress had a slight shimmer, and Pippa added to the festive aesthetic with candy apple-red accessories, including suede pumps and a velvet clutch bag. She added some more sparkle with flower-shaped diamond earrings.

James, meanwhile, chose to coordinate with Prince William and sons Prince George, 11, and Prince Louis, 6, in a blue suit, white shirt, and burgundy tie. He layered a ribbed peacoat adorned with gold buttons over his suit, and his shirt had a subtle pinstripe pattern. James too finished his look with black shoes, though his were loafers, which he wore with long burgundy socks.

In a rare move, James attended the royal holiday event with his wife, Alizee Thevenet. She looked fit for the season in jewel tones: a loose velvet suit in a deep royal blue, and glossy cherry-red block heels with little ankle straps. Under her blazer, she wore a blue and white gingham vest and a romantic white top with a dramatic bow that peeked out from her chest.

Mom Carole Middleton also made her arrival in a snow-white coat layered over a black dress and paired with black pumps.

“This year’s service provides a moment to reflect upon the importance of love and empathy, and how much we need each other, especially in the most difficult times of our lives,” Kensington Palace said in a statement last month. “The service will shine a light on individuals from all over the UK who have shown love, kindness and empathy towards others in their communities.”
