Princess Kate is getting into the holiday spirit a little early this year.
The Princess of Wales has arrived at Westminster Abbey to host her annual Christmas carol service, “Together at Christmas.” Naturally, the royal pulled out all the stops for a fun and festive holiday look.
She wore a vibrant candy apple-red McQueen coat adorned with a large black velvet bow at the center of her chest. A flash of a red tartan skirt peeked out from beneath the coat, and Kate finished off the look with a pair of black suede heeled boots and gold drop earrings.

Today’s holiday event marks the fourth year in a row that Kate has hosted “Together at Christmas.”
“This year’s service provides a moment to reflect upon the importance of love and empathy, and how much we need each other, especially in the most difficult times of our lives,” Kensington Palace described in a statement shared last month. “The service will shine a light on individuals from all over the UK who have shown love, kindness and empathy towards others in their communities.”
The palace continued, “Her Royal Highness wanted to celebrate the many people supporting those in need—individuals who have inspired, counselled, comforted, and above all else shown that love is the greatest gift we can receive. This theme takes inspiration from the Christmas story which encourages us to consider the experiences of others and the important human need of giving and receiving empathy.”
About 1,600 guests are expected to be in attendance at this year’s service. Musical performances will feature the Westminster Abbey choir alongside singers Paloma Faith, Olivia Dean, and Gregory Porter.
If you want to tune into the spectacle, then you’re in luck. The service will be broadcast for viewers across the U.K., airing on ITV1 and ITVX on December 24.
