After Jenna’s White House walk of shame story made Henry blush on Thursday, the couple participated in a tell-all lie detector test during the Friday, March 28 episode.
Though the TV personality and daughter of George W. Bush and Laura Bush gave the caveat of no questions that would “ruin our marriage,” the test still proved to be awkward for the pair.

“Henry, have I ever given you the ick?” Jenna asked her husband, referencing the popular phrase meaning something that makes a person grossed out by another.
After Henry quickly admitted that yes, she had, in fact, given him the ick, he was asked to elaborate.
“Sometimes in the morning, you know, you might want to brush your teeth,” he teased his wife.

“That is so rude!” she replied.
But the tension didn’t end there. Henry asked his wife if she had been “nervous” for him to co-host the show. She admitted that she had.
“That’s so mean. I’m a natural!” Henry quipped.
“That’s just ‘cause I love you and want to protect you,” Jenna insisted. “As opposed to saying my breath smells bad in the morning!”
The two didn’t pull punches as Henry later admitted on the lie detector test that he did keep items from an ex-girlfriend.
“Yes. I’m a Boy Scout, I tell the truth,” he said.
But a shocked Jenna didn’t let that one go.

“But what do you have from your ex-girlfriend?” she questioned.
“Uh, pictures maybe? I dunno. I don’t know. Letters?” Henry pondered. “Something somewhere. I don’t know where they are.”
However, what Jenna failed to mention during the segment is that she’s previously admitted on the show that Henry has given her “the ick.”
Back in December 2024, the morning show co-host told then-co-host Hoda Kotb, “I’ve been with my husband for 20 years — you do get it. But there’s so many more un-icks than icks.”
When guest Justine Lupe asked Jenna to elaborate on the “icks” her husband gives her, Kotb shut down the topic.
“No, no, don’t. Don’t!” Kotb told Jenna. “Cause you know what happens, Justine? It gets in Page Six, and she gets in trouble. I’m protecting her from herself.”
Despite the funny tension on Friday’s show, Jenna and Henry both agreed that their marriage remained strong after the test. The couple tied the knot in 2008 in Crawford, Texas, after years of dating. They share daughters Mila, 11, and Poppy, 9, and son Hal, 5.
Henry assisted Jenna as co-host on Thursday and Friday during the show’s “Family Week.”
